Polish technical consumer goods market records Q4 improvement in a disappointing year overal

Sales in the fourth quarter of 2010 totaled PLN 7.3 billion, which is a
marginally better result than the corresponding quarter in 2009. Already four sectors: Photo, Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunication registered positive growth compared to the same period the previous year.

However we must remember that results for the last quarter of 2009 were highly disappointing and constituted a very low comparison base. The cumulative result for the total year does not seem optimistic either. In 2010 the market value reached almost PLN 23.5 billion, which is -7% less than in 2009. There is no doubt that the two first quarters have had the most devastating impact on
this result.
