Event Description

The rapid increase in popularity of mobile phones with integrated cameras has created many opportunities for growth, but has also opened up new challenges for digital camera manufacturers. These topics are at the heart of various presentations and podium discussions with representatives from camera and mobile phone manufacturers, software providers and photofinishing companies. In a lecture, Microsoft will present the influence its technical innovations have had on the imaging market.

GfK will introduce figures from the global imaging market for 2011 in collaboration with market research company NPD. In a separate lecture, the extraordinary situation in Africa and the Middle East will be explored by a GfK specialist from the region, with a specific focus on market entry opportunities for industry and retailers. The former European Management Board member of Minolta will provide an analysis of the Japanese communications industry's future prospects. GfK surveys will be used to demonstrate the connection between consumer trust and brand success. The Imaging Summit 2011 will close with a presentation of data from GfK's retail panel which exposes the competition between high-street and online retail.
