Record High for Mobile Music Downloads in UK
The mobile music market is continuing to exhibit strong growth with a record number of downloads for May (1.72 million). So far in 2009 each month has registered at least 1.5 million music downloads and the market is still growing at an impressive rate in volume terms (April and May 09 were 21% up on 08).

Flat Panel TV Sales in Brazil Recover After Sluggish Start to 2009
The Flat TV market, after going through a period of sales decline at the beginning of the year, increased by 2% and 11% in March and April, respectively. In terms of resolution, sales of Full HD televisions have increased in the last 13 periods and reached one quarter of market share in April 2009.

Brazil: Cordless Phones Perform Well as Mobile Sales Suffer
Sales of mobile phones decreased 20% in volume terms between January to April 2009 compared to the same period last year. The rate of decline for April in isolation was not quite as pronounced but still represented a 10% decrease compared to April 2008.

Retail and Technology increase stake in Indian joint venture
At the beginning of July 2009, GfK Retail and Technology will increase its stake in its Indian joint venture with Nielsen from 40.0% to 50.1%. From now on, the joint venture company will be included in the consolidated accounts of the GfK Group.
